Our Story: The Passion and Precision Behind Swift Rigging

Swift Rigging is proudly motivated by Rory Hatchett who is passionate about the parachuting and aviation Industry. Rory having survived his first jump (on old military service equipment) way back in 1972 at the Flemming drop zone in Rockingham Western Australia.

Rory received his certificate to pack reserve parachutes around 1976, since that his passion for Parachute rigging and sewing machines has gone from strength to strength and still maintained to this day.

Since receiving his Australian Parachute Federation A licence number 909 in 1974 he now holds APF F licence number F-97 and has done over 11,000 jumps.

With the support of Derrick Thomas and Tom Parker Achieving his FAA master riggers certificate in 2015 when visiting the PIA symposium in USA.
In 1980 Rory began to learn to fly and is passionate about flying as well, owing a Cessna 180-E which he currently flys and keeps his passion with aviation going strong.
Swift Rigging has a full service Rigging loft with over (25) sewing machines and numerous equipment for the sewing and industrial lifting industry. Many have been built by Rory to suit requirements.
He also overseas training of parachute packers and Riggers for the members of the Australian Parachute Federation.
